Evidence of Identification

James Byrne gave evidence in the case of Sergeant Byrne, his brother and said the deceased was a Sergeant in the Northumberland Fusiliers stationed at Wallsend. He was a married ma. He was going to catch the connection at Tyne Dock to go to Wallsend. The Witness recognised a cigarette case, on which was a monogram. Sergeant Byrne had been wounded at the front, recuperating and doing military training at Newcastle.
